At Tar Heel Construction Runners, we know what it means to be on a jobsite with a tight deadline and not enough hands. We’ve seen it too many times — the foreman sends a worker off to grab a few bags of concrete or a box of screws, and by the time they get back, half the crew is stuck waiting around.

We specialize in same-day delivery of tools, materials, and supplies directly from your preferred hardware store or supplier — straight to your jobsite. Whether you’re in Wake Forest, Raleigh, Durham, or nearby, we make sure your team stays on site and productive while we handle the run.

STANDARD DELIVERY 1) Truck: When all the items can be carried by a standard consumer pickup truck like an F150. 2) Trailer: When any of the ordered items exceed 12 ft. in length, it will automatically be assigned as a trailer. This is driver and for logistical safety. 3) We do not transport items exceeding 22 ft. All orders are subject to the follow costs: 1) Base Cost: For Standard Delivery Truck Orders, the base cost is $65. 2) For Standard Utility Trailer Delivery Orders, the base cost is $165. This price may change due to the items being ordered. 3) Mileage Charge: Our service is a flat rate service - We do not charge a mileage fee. 4) Delivery Area: Our flat rate services only apply to our delivery area. We only pick up and deliver within Wake County. 5) Handling Fees: Handling costs are usually $0. However all heavy equipment items incure special handeling fees. See our "Heavy Equipment" page for pricing information. 6) Tips: Tips are highly recommended for our drivers who have to load and unload large, complicated, fragile or heavy items.
DELIVERY SPEED Our delivery goal is to deliver your items within 1.5 hours anywhere within a 10 mile radius of Wake Forest, and 2 hour anywhere less than a 20 mile radius of Wake Forest. We typically requires a 2-3 hour window for deliveries over 20 miles. **Vendors may be the cause of delay for the order's departing from the store due to no fault of our drivers. Tar Heel Construction Runners is not responsible for any vendor delays. Additionally, quantity and dimensions of the cargo items may also impact loading and unloading time.
DELIVERY RESTRICTIONS 1) Any itemS that exceede 16ft in length and/or who's width exceeds 7ft may be delayed or be subject to quantity limitations due to vehicular or utility trailer capacity 2) Misc. custom items, including may be subject to limitations and may require special handling costs. 3. All items weighing over 75 lb per unit will be charged a heavy item fee. 4. No hazardous materials such as explosives, poisons, weapons or illegal etc. will be delivered. Tar Heel Construction Runners holds the right to refuse any delivery order. Items such as masonry bricks etc. whose total weight exceed 300lbs will be subject to Heavy Equipment fee costs per weight.
LOADING AND UNLOADING To protect our drivers' health and safety, Tar Heel Construction Runners limits where your order can be unloaded. Our drivers will unload items only onto street-level, external locations accessible by the vehicle. Items cannot be deposited any more than 15ft from the vehicle. If you require special handling beyond the scope of our standard procedures, you must inform us at the time of ordering. A seperate handeling fee will be added depending on the location. Please be willing to tip our drivers extra for this service.
